Kullu

Quietly situated by the Beas River, Kullu is a cluster of beautiful valleys in Himachal, and that’s mainly why it’s known as the ‘Valley of Gods.’ Known for the deodar trees, snow-clad mountains, and apple orchards, Kullu is usually coupled with its sister town Manali, hence a favorite among tourists, especially honeymooners.

A hot spot for adventure sports, Kullu is best known for paragliding, river rafting, hiking, and of course, trekking. Some of the most popular treks such as the Bijli Mahadev temple trek, the Parvati valley trek, originate from Kullu. The town is easily accessible as it’s home to Bhuntar airport and has bus connectivity within and across towns.

Temples adorn the town beautifully with their bhajans and serenity. The Bijli Mahadev, Raghunath, Hanogi Mata, Jagannath Devi, and Gauri Shankar temples are the most visited places in Kullu. That explains why the town is famous for the Kullu Dussehra festival that’s flocked by tourists in the month of October.
